En Febrero hice una visita express a la ciudad de Cuernavaca en Morelos con la clase de diseño de interiores, ahí tuve la oportunidad de entrar el Museo Brady (que anteriormente era una casa), un lugar en el que definitivamente me hubiera quedado a vivir… una colección sorprendente, única y plural de piezas de arte que convergen en un espacio interior maximalista pero de muy buen gusto. Les comparto un tour visual con las fotos.

Last february I visited the city of Cuernavaca in Morelos with my interior design classmates, there I had the opportunity to visit the Brady Museum (it was a house in the past), a place where I wanted to stay… there you can find an amazing collection, a lot of pieces of art that converge in a very maximalist interior (but very tasteful). Here you can see a visual tour with some pictures I took.
La historia nos cuenta que esta colección de pinturas, objetos y textiles fueron reunidas por el estadounidense Robert Brady, quien se trasladó a México en los años 60s y previamente tuvo la oportunidad de vivir en Chicago y Venecia.

History tells us that this great amount of paintings, objects and textiles were collected by the american Robert Brady, who moved to Mexico in the 60s and previously had the opportunity to live in Chicago and Venice.
Son más de 1300 piezas las que Brady logró reunir gracias a sus numerosos viajes, en estos interiores (como se los mencionaba al comienzo del post) predomina la tendencia maximalista: decoración cristiana, hindú, textiles con personalidad muy mexicana y hasta cuadros de Frida Kahlo convergen en un espacio digno de admirar, un mosaico lleno de color que les recomiendo si visitan Cuernavaca.

Brady collected more than 1300 pieces thanks to his numerous trips around the world, in these interiors (as I mentioned at the beginning of this post) a maximalism tendency predominates: christian decor, hindu details, mexican textile personality and even a Frida Kahlo´s artwork; we can find all this stuff in a space worthy of admiration, a colorful mosaic that I recommend if you´re planning a trip to Cuernavaca.
