LIFE IN BLACK & WHITE

¿Te has imaginado cerrar tu vida a blanco y negro?, a mi me encanta la combinación, porque nunca falla, ¿pero ver todo objeto o cada detalle en tan sólo estos colores?. Hace unas semanas di con un blog llamado ORACLE FOX de una artista australiana contemporánea llamada Amanda Shadforth y desde el primer vistazo quedé enamorado: una paleta de colores neutros, un diseño editorial minimalista y sutil y por supuesto unos atuendos de impacto donde sobresale mucho Céline, Alexander Wang, etc./ Have you ever imagined your life in just black and white?, I love that combination, because it never fails, but then imagine again to see every object or detail in just these colors… A few weeks ago I came across with this blog ORACLE FOX created by an Australian artist named Amanda Shadforth and since the first view I just fell in love: a neutral color palette, a minimalist and subtle editorial design and of course amazing outfits where you can find tons of Céline, Alexander Wang, etc.
No sé mucho de Amanda, pero me llama la atención su capacidad para cerrar su vida a blanco y negro, logrando que ORACLE FOX exprese una identidad totalmente única. ¿Se imaginan eso posible?, ¿es decir, definir su vida en sólo dos colores?, por lo menos yo no, y menos en México, donde todo es tan abigarrado, colorido y saturado; y es ahí cuando te das cuenta de que los colores influyen y mucho, de que son los protagonistas de cada historia cotidiana y de que dependiendo su uso (no sólo en moda) las cosas pueden llevar a un SÍ o a un NO, o cambiar completamente tu día./ I don’t know much about Amanda, but I’m loving her ability to define her life in just black and white, and that’s why her blog has an unique identity. Can you imagine that possible?, I mean, to define your life in just two colors?, not me at least, impossible in Mexico, where everything is so colorful and saturated; and that’s when you realize that the colors influence, they are the protagonists of each daily story and at the end its use (and not just in fashion area) can lead things to a YES or to a NO!

  • No conocía el blog hasta que me dijiste lo viera por Instagram y la verdad que es súper minimalista, cosa que me encantó. Yo creo que sí podría basar mi vida en ciertos colores pero con el tiempo me aburrirían porque siempre siento la necesidad de estar cambiando. Amé la ilustración

  • Hola: me parece difícil resumir la vida en dos tonos: blanco y negro. No hay duda que son colores elegantes y minimalistas y mis favoritos pero creo que la vida tiene una amplia gama de colores. Me paso a visitar este blog del artista australiano.. seguro que me sorprende positivamente y es muy inspirador. Me encanta tu ilustración. Seguimos en contacto

  • Noooo! Colors are life! They inspires us, give us hope, we can underline our feelings with colors. A life in black and white would be more than odd. Reminds me of the Hollywood movie "Pleasant Ville". Do you know that? In the end: everything's colorful ;-))

  • Dioooos, sin duda alguna miraré su blog. Me encantan las combinaciones neutras y el blanco/negro es una de mis favoritas (como la de casi todo el mundo, supongo) puesto que la veo como super original y clásica. Precioso post, ¡como todos los que haces!
