I won’t deny it, despite the chaos and the traffic of living in Mexico City, there are days when I wake up thinking in this city: endless possibilities for fun, cultural activities and of course… food! Mexico City is just the ideal place for those who like to explore and discover unexpected places.
In Fungi Express we love the authentic and original sthings where every detail tells a story, and if those stories include food, even better! This time I want to show you a new visual post with one of the coziest restaurants in Mexico City: L’encanto de Lola.
Las opciones son infinitas y siempre hay una complemento igual de delicioso para acompañar: papas (patatas) caseras, mac & cheese, aritos de cebolla y una buena cerveza artesanal./ If you go to L’Encanto de Lola you can find the ‘(A)typical’ Mexican tortas with a little twist (for those who are not familiar with this Mexican dish, it is a bread called bolillo that splits in half and is filled with different things, yumm!). Would you like to eat a B.L.T. torta with crispy chicken, homemade mayonnaise and bacon? Or if you’re brave or Mexican go for a chile relleno torta. The options are endless and there is always a lovely and delicious complement: homemade potatoes, mac & cheese, onion rings and artesanal beers.
And for those with a sweet tooth there is always a tasty option, actually it was the reason why I fell in love with this place: milkshakes and raspberry cobblers!
A fresh and lovely decoration is waiting for you, with a terrace with a little cinema in one of the most charming neighborhoods of Mexico City: San Ángel. Disney characters on the shelves, pink flamingos in the bar and a friendly Fisher Price phone. Well, the only thing to take in count: come with enough time, because the place is always full so you may have to wait a bit.
¡La torta de Cochinita Pibil con frijol y piña!/ If you’re planning a trip to Mexico City put L’encanto de Lola in your itinerary. My recommendation? The Cochinita Pibil torta!
TASTE IT!

Thank you for sharing this dining recommendation. I'm a foodie too, I think that most of us Croatians are, we just love food!
I would love to visit Mexico city some day. I heard that it is a wonderful city. Big cities offer lots of possibilities, so living in a big city is always exciting even if it can be stressful due to traffic and etc.

I need to relocate to Mexico, the food there is just amazing, in my country one has to go to fancy hotels to eat mexican food and pay lots of money and considering that I love food more than life, lol! This is such an amazing post dear, it made me salivate!!

You have to visit my country one day! Is a shame that in your country Mexican food is only displayed at fancy hotels, at the end we have a lot of street food and is not that expensive and some places sell it!
Kisses, my dear 🙂
